Step 5 – Ring Doorbell – ( anticipated to take 10-15 minutes)
• Pair devices to the Wi-Fi Network • Product is hard-wired with a battery back-up. Check to ensure batteries have been installed, and if they have not, install the batteries.
Step 6 – Garage Door Opener – ( anticipated to take 10-15 minutes)
• Pair devices to the Wi-Fi Network
Step 7 – Irrigation Timer – ( anticipated to take 10-15 minutes)
• Pair devices to the Wi-Fi Network • Select and set schedule for irrigation in conjunction with homeowner
Step 8 - App Orientation – (anticipated to take 30-45 minutes)
• Have homeowner set each Mobil device to the new network. Instruct them if the old ISP network reappears to not use it and use the new network. • Show the homeowner how to navigate the APPS by instructing them what to do and having them do it. Learn by doing is preferred. • Instruct and have homeowner perform the functions of each of the manufacturer applications.
Step 9 - Check Wi-Fi signal – (anticipated to take between 1Hr 30 Minutes to 2Hrs).
• Leave all manufacturer boxes and instruction manuals for the homeowner so they may have these for their future reference. • Walk through the home ensure Wi Fi is available in every room.
• Review all TV’s, Gaming Stations, and Desk Top Computers to see if they are properly connected/wired to the network. It is imperative these devices are hardwired, so the Wi Fi performs optimally. If they are not wired, then the installing contractor is to review the importance of having these products on Cat6 or RG6 and offer to connect these as an additional options service at a fee if the wall outlet is present at these locations. Remember most homeowners don’t have Cat 6 cable yet as their previous home may have been run with RG6. • Leave the homeowner with a business card and explain there is 60 day included tech support if they should have questions or comments regarding the wiring or product sold by Pulte Group. This may include, but not limited, to phone consultations, remote diagnosis if available, in person service calls to review performance and products sold by PulteGroup in the Smart Home category. Pulte Group will not support products sold or installed post close or by other parties.
